The Life Skills class aims to help Teen Court defendants acquire several advanced skills necessary to succeed in life. With combined help of Chancellor’s Leadership students from UCCS, members of the community from a wide variety of backgrounds and occupations, and Teen Court Board members, defendants will interact in a group and focus on the following topics:
- Physical Health & Safety
- Emotional & Spiritual Health
- Financial Outlook & Management
- Goal Setting & Achievement
- Social & Societal Harmony
- Financial Planning
- Job Searching & Resume Skills
- Manner & Dress
- Mock Interview Skills
Defendants will leave the program with a finished typed resume, personal business cards, personal budget, 5-year goal plan, and refined communication skills.
